Writing a story is only a first step. Shaping and refining the narrative through editing takes that story from rough stone to polished gem. Samak Press can offer a fresh set of experienced eyes to help you create the story you always envisioned.

Our experienced team can handle developmental editing and line editing. Both are available in affordable editing packages.

Developmental Editing

Developmental editing focuses on refining key narrative elements. Our team examines plot, character development, setting, and overall story structure while giving constructive feedback to the author. We offer an in-depth analysis on what works within the story and what needs improvement. This analysis includes examples drawn from story and suggestions on how to implement improvement.

Line Editing

Poor grammar can undermine otherwise good stories. Samak Press can help you root out assorted grammatical errors that bury your story on the page. Our team focuses on reducing excessive passive voice in writing. We also trim filler words, jargon, cliches, incorrect word choice, and other common grammatical errors. Additionally, we offer suggestions on where to show versus tell within the narrative.
