A tragic murder turns Talia’s once-idyllic world upside down. Now she demands justice for her slain mate.
Fishermen trespassed in the sacred lagoon, claiming the fish Talia’s colony raised for themselves. Efforts to turn away these humans end in an untimely death and the beginning of a nightmarish ordeal for Talia. The young mermaid is consumed by grief and will not let the fishermen go unpunished.
Peace once existed between the humans and merfolk. Now, peace is not possible until those humans who murdered her mate pay for their crimes. Talia will avenge him, even if it requires calling upon dark magic to balance the scales.
